A matric structure of the organization can be regarded as a structure of the company where the relationships of reporting are established as a matrix or a grid instead of hierarchy that is traditional. Dual relationships of reporting are held by employees – to a manager of product and a functional manager both. It can be considered as the blend of the functional and projectized structure of the organization. Reporting may be done by employees to several managers in a structure of matrix organization (Westland, 2018).
